Earlier this month Google released their new social network: Google+ (Google Plus),it is still in beta and is invite only at the moment. It is like a combination of Facebook and Twitter put together, they have also tightly integrated it with the the search engine, showing Notification's at the top of any Google page. Unlike Facebook you don't have 'friend requests' you can just follow people like on Twitter, but instead of 'following' you add people to your 'Circle's' this is Google's way of allowing you to control who see's what. For example you could have a circle for 'family', 'work colleagues' and 'friends'. You have just had a party with many embarrassing photos of you that you wouldn't want your boss or mum see, so you would confine the post to only your 'friends' circle. But if you had a new baby you could share that with just your 'family' circle, or all of your circles. It also has 'Hangouts' a way of group video calling your friends and 'hanging out' it's Google's way of making Video Chat less geeky.
Google+ hasn't been released to the public yet, and already has 20 million users! But it is nothing compared to Facebook's 750 million users, but it is growing fast!
Will you be deleting your Facebook/Twitter account for Google+?
If you want an invite please leave a comment and I will send you one as soon as possible.
