Facebook recently announced that they were going to be spending $1 Billion in cash and stocks on acquiring Instagram, a popular photo sharing app which until recently was iPhone only. It now has 30 million members and is becoming very popular, although some iPhone users are annoyed that they released the app for Android users.
After the announcement of the acquisition, many users were expressing their anger at Instagram selling to Facebook, threatening to delete their accounts. Because of this, many sites that use the Instagram API have crashed from the huge amount of people trying to download their photo's.
One site that hasn't yet crashed is Webagram. It was created by Will Evans a talented young developer! For more information on him check out his personal site Will3942 where you can donate to him, or his Twitter: @Will3942. Webagram gives you an easy way to download all your photo's in one click, so if you are going to delete your account I suggest you do this first! It also gives you your own page where you can view your photo's in the future!
If you still believe in Instagram and have faith that Facebook won't ruin it, check out my Webagram here: http://webagram.net/7ewis or follow me on Instagram: @7ewis
What are your thoughts on Facebook taking over Instagram?
